My child doesn’t know how to walk.

He’s 6 years old. He’s always running. ALWAYS. In the house, outside, stores, even school. I tell him to walk and he will basically do a slow run or skip... I really have no idea what to do anymore. I’m constantly trying to tell him to stop running in the house. We live in an apartment above someone.. and just going from his room to the bathroom or just anywhere at all he RUNS. Even if we take him it to play for hours he’ll come home and have so much damn energy still running just to get a short distance.
