Scared he doesn’t want something serious /:

The guy I’m talking to is way older than me. My mom thinks he only wants to be a fwb. He met my parents yesterday and then sent this text

Today I had a dream that me and him were talking, when suddenly a girl appears and tells me “don’t even bother, he only talks to girls for a certain amount of time and then goes missing out of the blue.” I don’t know if it’s my subconscious mind manifesting in my dreams or if it’s advice. I’ve asked him if he only wants a fwb or a serious relationship & first he joked about being fwb, but then he told me he actually wants to try for something serious with me. He sent me this this morning

It makes me believe he really does want something with me, but my mom is a bit hardheaded and says otherwise ☹️ I’m stuck in between and don’t know who to believe.

What do you ladies think? Obviously it’s just a few messages but most of time we’re messaging it’s about my work schedule, his, or any other subject. We usually talk about “us” in person
