Should we move in together?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 months. However, our situation is pretty unique. We’ve been really good friends for the past 2 years. Earlier this year I moved to Florida, while he still lives in Michigan. After moving I realized how much I missed and loved him. We’ve had a long distance relationship for the past 3 months which has been difficult, as we only see each other a couple times a month. He decided a few weeks ago he is going to move to Florida to be closer to me which I was so ecstatic about because I really do see myself with him. Even when we were just friends, i couldn’t imagine him not in my life. He asked me last night if we could look for an apartment together. I had thought about it and honestly I would love to. However, I am just not sure if it would be the best idea. I don’t want to rush into anything we’re not ready for and put a damper on our relationship? Do you think it’s too soon to move in together considering our situation?
