Baby cries for Dad

I’ve been back to work for over a month now; my little guy is 12 weeks today! We’re still figuring out a childcare solution since my husband and I both work, but here’s the problem: If I leave my son at home with my husband, he cries pretty much from the moment I leave until whenever I get back. I don’t know what could be causing it or what I can do to help other than let them spend time together (which I think terrifies my husband at this point). But does anyone have any ideas?
