Anyone have any insight?

My husband and I are TTC at the moment, only been around a month so I’m not stressing. ...Background info: 2016 I had a miscarriage at 5-6weeks...A week before my period was due I was having the following symptoms, dizziness, headaches, sore back, certain smells made me feel ill. My periods are always on time and yesterday it should of arrived but in the morning when I wiped just very light brown blood then nothing for the rest of the day. Today woke up and it was very dark brown, lighter than my normal period, cramping and nausea (never have nausea around this time) Could this be an early miscarriage, just my period or could I be pregnant and sometimes this happen?
