Some Kids naturally cry when they see a person who they dont know like example: when I went over to my sisters house and my husband (who is afro latino but got more of the African in him then latino) came with me to and I went to get my niece so she can merge him (she is 10 months) and she looked up ( he is 6'4) and started crying lol and we just laughed since she was obviously startled and it doesnt mean she is racist it just things that babys do and it's normal! But ppl now a days throw the word racist like saying hello knowing there is racism in the world but some thing just arent.

I know I'm really late to this convo but I'm bored and trolling glow.
I don't think it's weird for a baby to be confused by the first different person they see. If that's a white baby that's only ever seen white people, it makes sense that they would get confused. I know POC who said their babies/toddlers did the same when they saw their first white person, and vice versa 🤷‍♀️ if you're not in a very diverse area, I don't think it's uncommon. Embarrassing, sure. For both parties I imagine. But not uncommon. 
Also, and this is mostly off topic but kinda related, one of the comments was about dogs 'only getting mean with black people'. I actually knew a dog that was kinda like that (he wasn't very nice to strangers either way though)- the father's best friend was very dark and the dog DID NOT like him, or any other POC. But it was because of a visual impairment; the dog couldn't see them, especially if they were still. So if we were all sitting around (usually playing D&D), but then he got up or said something louder than the general  conversation, that dog would PANIC.

My little cousin did that once. She was a baby and getting her picture taken and she cried when the African American photographer got near her. My cousin is two now and one of the sweetest most loving people I know. She’d never be racist, so it’s not a concern. She was just frightened because she’d never seen anyone like that before
