My mom ruined the surprise

Me and my SO have been talking about getting engaged a lot the past couple of months. We have looked at rings together and what not. Anyways, he was trying really hard to get us and a couple of our friends to go to olive garden on new years eve. Unfortunately I have to work that day and he was really bummed but had us reschedule. I had a feeling it was because that was the night he wanted to pop the question.

But today, I get a text from my mom asking "what do you think?" With a picture of the ring! She texts me apologizing saying to ignore it and she meant to text someone else. 🤦‍♀️ so now theres really no surprise to the whole thing and I'm kinda bummed. Of course I'm excited for the night to come but it's kind of a bummer knowing about when it's going to happen and what the ring looks like 😞
