The birds & the bees talk.

Kimberly • Mommy to a little princess ❤️

Wasn’t sure what group to post this on..

Who’s parents actually had the “talk” with them? Like in all honesty.

My mom never had the talk with me, like NEVER she didn’t even sign the papers for sex Ed class starting in 4th grade all the way up to 7th grade I was always sat in the library while that went on..

I now have a 5 almost 6yr old sister who I’m sure is gonna start going to wonder things about herself when she starts going through puberty. I’m afraid my mom will do the same with her and not sign papers or even have the talk with her.

When I started going through puberty I was 8 (I know everyone is different) I remember the first time I ever got my period I was freaking out i was crying because i woke up in a puddle of blood being young I thought I was dying. I threw my sheets and pijamas in the trash and took a shower not knowing what to do I had found depend underwear that my grandma would wear I put it on feeling super uncomfortable 😣 & I went next door to my neighbors who was 2 years older than me she was 10 and her mom was the one who had the talk with me and told me what was going on she even showed me how to put a pad on. I was embarrassed 😞 but thankful for her, showing me and explaining to me I went home and took off the diaper and put a pad on, I was having cramps when I told my mom she ignored me, I told my grandma and she started asking me 21 questions like I knew what they meant the one question that I will never forget was “mija estás teniendo relaciones sexuales?” (“Are you being sexually active?”) im 8 years old!!!! 😡😡😡 i was being molested by my aunties boyfriend then, now husband and i told them they blamed me for him molesting me.

Would it be wrong for me to have that conversation with my little sister when she starts to get close to the puberty age?? I don’t want my mom to be mad at me for telling her about her period and her body changes, but I want her to know what to expect and what not.
