I’m currently on the pill (Trivora) and I HATE it. For one my mood swings are terrible and having to take the pill is a hassle. I’ve been thinking about getting the implant since its over 99% effective and it’s long lasting but I’m scared that I’ll have bad side effects. if you have the implant what is your experience? PLEASE HELP! ✨

I had the implant put it and had an allergic reaction to the new dye then have put in the nexplanon and had to have it removed a couple of months later which was really upsetting for me cause it was helping with my extremely bad periods (I’m being investigated for endometriosis)

I love mine! I have gotten it three times now. Stayed in for the full 3 years twice. Just had my third one put in about a month ago. I haven’t had any side affects or issues.

I currently have the implant and im on the pill! I hate it but since I had the implant put in I have been bleeding none stop. And not like spotting but medium period amount. So the pill is supposed to help regulate it and hopefully it works if not I have to have mine removed. I had it put in my arm in February.

I’ve been on nexplanon for almost three months, the first month I had headaches and minor cramps (could barely tell they were there). My period started early both months, but my period was only spotting, first month for six days, one for a day and a half. I haven’t had any symptoms besides minor cramping since the first month.

Oh girl, I was on LoLo and I was a mess on that pill. It was amazing for regulating my periods, but the last couple of months I was on it, I was a mess. I started getting lightheaded all the time, I wanted to throw up every morning, my breasts were super tender for two weeks, my mood swings were horrible and I was just not feeling great. I also gained almost 15 pounds and I didn’t feel like myself at all.
I recently just switched to the implant about two weeks ago and let me tell you, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m down 8 pounds and I’m not even dieting or anything, my appetite has gone down as well as my cravings. No period as of yet, but all I’ve gotten from side effects are headaches. My mood has stabilized and I am happier with myself. Who knows how my body will react later, but I think I’m doing okay so far.
Just keep in mind all birth control can affect people differently, your experience might be similar to others or completely different. You might like it or you might hate it, it’s a matter of trial and error, you won’t know until you try it!

I’ve had it for 10 months & like it. The only side effects I’ve experienced so far are spotting and not having a period (haven’t had one in 8 months which has been great)
Birth Control does affect everyone differently though, people experience longer bleeding, continous spotting, mood swings, & other side effects
