Paraguard??? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay ladies, so I am super sensitive to ANY type of bc pill. Like when I take it I get worse depression and anxiety. I will also get heart palpitations and crazy fast hr. I have an appt with my gyn but not for two weeks. 
I have been researching and seen the paraguard iud. It has no hormones. 
Do any of y’all have this

I had mine placed in a week and a half ago, I too have really bad reactions with hormones, they send my brain and my body completely out of whack. I first had the pill, then the injection and now I have the copper IUD (ParaGuard) . I would honestly say it is so worth it. You will cramp a little bit the first few days but that settles, just take Advil / ibuprofen and have a hot water bottle handy. Your period is a little heavier but nothing too much. Definitely worth it in terms of how long it lasts and how effective it is!

The downfall to paraguard  (from my research and my midwife's advice) is that it can cause heavier bleeding and more cramping - especially If you cramp to begin with. If you have sensitivity to hormones though, try it and see how it works for you.

I'm the same way. I had a consult for a paragard last week. I'll be getting it placed hopefully in January.
