Bfs mom told I’d be more btiful if I lost weight...

Would you tell your husband or boyfriend if their mom said that to you?

Today I had took my bfs mom the store and i was actually having a nice time with her. I told her I’m pre diabetic and on the way to the 2nd store she asked me if I wanted coffee from Mc donalds I said no thank you I need to drink more water, she continued to point out that I gained weight then said you’d be more beautiful if I lost weight and then she laughed a lil. When we got back to their house I just kept my distance from her.

After picking up his sister from work he tried to have me go upstairs to go eat with him but I told no, I’ll just stay downstairs. He asked me what’s wrong but I didn’t even tell him.

I didn’t tell my bf bc I don’t want to start anything. What would you do? I’m a quiet person that doesn’t like confrontation.

I know I need to lose weight but I mean she didn’t have to say that to me.
