Piggybacking off the post about women being told by their doctors they can’t have their tubes tied. Aside from insurance regulations, should doctors be able to dictate to patients whether or not they can have their tubes tied? Yes, it’s a big decision, but do is having kids in the first place and doctors aren’t highly concerned over allowing people to access IVF treatments. There are very few procedures that doctors can say no to - should having your tubes tied be one of them? Yes, they may be scared of legal repercussions, but there is always the option of a waiver.
