Glucose test?

I go in for my 1 hr glucose test this Monday and my doctor didn't say anything on if I am allowed to eat breakfast or if I am suppose to fast...
What were you suppose to do for the test?

I was told not to fast, as it could make me fail the test. They just told me to “eat sensibly”.

You can eat but nothing with sugar.  Avoid cereal, juice, bread, etc.  I had scrambled eggs with sausage and a glass of milk.  I passed.

I ate a jacks gravy & biscuit & had a large sweet tea lol & I passed mine.

I had to fast for my 1 hour (no food after midnight and only small sips of water), but those instructions were provided when they gave me the drink to take home at the preceding appt. I'd just double check with your dr. - better safe than sorry.

Fasting has nothing to do with it, I didn’t fast with my first child and I passed but this time around I also didn’t fast and I failed and had to torture 3 hour test (which makes you fast) and still waiting on results from that test

I just took my 3 hour because I failed the 1 hour I had to fast 8 hours before I took the drink I was only allowed water.

My doctor said it was ok to eat a few hours before the test. I ate a mostly protein breakfast and had my test 3 hours later. Like the others said, just don't eat a ton of carbs. Whatever your results are, remember it's just a screening to help make sure you and your baby get the best prenatal care possible! Good luck!

My dr didn’t give me any special instructions but when I talked to the people at the lab that were performing the test they advised that I not eat anything for about 4 hours prior to the test, they said it would allow the most accurate result and limits the chance of a false positive. I just did mine this morning and did it early that it wasn’t that big of a deal to wait on eating. 
I will say though that the orange drink for it is so sickly sweet 😖 definitely try to eat something nutritious after to help get rid of any sugar crash from it 👍
