Sore hands

Okay so random question, has anyone had anything like this come up on their hands? They are so sore and dry - been like this for a week now. The only coincidence is that is when I started testing my blood sugars after being diagnosed with GD. Nothing seems to be helping! I have midwife on Monday but don’t know if she’ll look at me like I’m crazy for asking if it’s to do with the pregnancy or diabetes. Could it just be the cold weather? (UK mum to be) the camera doesn’t pick it up as much but it’s very red and flaky. I’m 29+3
