Nervous about high risk consult
So I have a consult with the maternal fetal medicine specialist in a few weeks after she gets a chance to review my files from pregnancy #1 to decide their course of treatment. My daughter tried very hard to make her debut at 32 weeks and from there until 36 weeks I was put on medication and dealt with prodromal labor but to the best of my knowledge they never figured out why because I wasn’t effaced and she was not engaged.
This time around they already discussed putting me on medication to help prevent preterm labor because of my daughter trying to come hang early but now we have the added factor that my cervix is short (about 2cm) I have no clue what it was during my first pregnancy and that puts me at a higher risk of preterm labor. I guess I just don’t know what to expect if they do decide that I am high risk and will be worried about keeping this baby in as long as possible.
