Not black enough
So ever since I was growing up I’ve always heard the other black kids say that I act and talk white. They would always say I’m not black because I didn’t do the things they did or talk like them. My grandma is mixed with black and white. My parents are both black and I was raised around different people of varied backgrounds. I talk how I talk because that’s who I am. Race didn’t play a part in that at all. I’m tired of these idiots telling me what race I am just because of my voice and skin tone. I think it’s ridiculous to be judge that way by people of the same race. And to top it off they say I’m a traitor for dating someone that’s white. I just say as long as he treats me right, doesn’t cheat , has goals , and honest then it shouldn’t matter what their skin tone is.
In my young adult life now I just say screw those people that are so controlled by blinded views.
