Any advise for 1st round of IVF?

Just got all of my medications in yesterday and I am a little overwhelmed! I start stims around January 13th. Any advise?

I used to organize my meds on sandwich bags so I made sure I didn’t forget to take any some times it’s so much that you double guess your self so this way is not doubt

Good luck!! The stim shots were not as bad as I thought and I did them all myself. Just make sure to switch sides of your stomach. What hurt the most was the pinching before the shot!  
My first appointment was in June and we started medication in sept. Retrieval October 1st. We still are waiting to transfer one of our 6 PGS normal embryos in. Only telling you think because I know people who started IVF in May and we’re pregnant in June. I didn’t realize how many unexpected things can come up and I wish I had prepared myself for that. The waiting and not knowing is the hardest part. What has been helpful for me is trying to have other things to look forward to, not just the mile stones in the process. I’ve have been pregnant twice and miscarried both times. It is terrifying to think that this might not work. Another thing that my husband and I recently did was discuss “worst case scenario” and that actually helped me a lot. Making a plan and knowing that no matter what one way or another we will become parents and having a general “fall back” plan was helpful for me as well. Obviously hoping IVF is successful for us both!! You’ll be great! Sorry for the long post but my point is this process is mentally and emotionally draining so just be prepared for that and have strategies to cope with that!! Best of luck!!

Sleep as much as possible. And treat yourself every way you can. Ivf effects everyone different. I got so bloated and uncomfortable, so do whatever makes you feel good ☺️ and don’t stress too much. Stress doesn’t help anyone! Good luck! ❤️

Go with the flow.. I will start around the same time you will and I can only hope things go as planned. Let go and let God they say.

Try to not get stressed. You can do the shots yourself and switch sides. 
I noticed that under the belly button on either side was less painful. 
You will notice bloating (for me it was after 7-8 days and it wasn’t pleasant. Make notes for it all and stay positive. Focus on the need to take the shot and you’ll be ok. It is definitely a mental state and you’ll want to be prepared. 
Look at the video, have everything ready and sterile and breathe.

Don’t lose hope, it took us 3 rounds until we were successful with one chemical pregnancy in between from an FET. It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a hurry up and wait game. But it’s worth it in the end!
