Postpartum sex...

Sooo me and my hub are late to the game after our daughter and it was mutual we were finding our way in to parenthood and anyways 8 months later we had sex for the first time 😳 am I the only one who waited so long... and omg I never thought it would be so painful basically felt like a virgin again... is that normal? I don’t like to kiss and tell but there was some blood and pain I just want to make sure it’s normal I’m guessing yes....
