Am i being ungrateful?

For Christmas i bought my man a brand new tv, sound bar and gamer headphones $500+ Christmas comes and he got me nothing....now mind you he did give me $150 to help me finish my Christmas shopping bc i was broke but i can’t help but feel like he could’ve got me something...i know I’m being ungrateful and i hate myself for it but i keep seeing everyone else get all these cute sentimental gifts and i get emotional (pregnancy hormones) am i crazy?

You’re definitely not ungrateful. I’m not sure on what advice to share because I’m in the same position. My husband didn’t get me anything and made me seem materialistic and unreasonable for wanting a present when he has bills to pay. He had enough money to spend $45 at the liquor store, though.

Try this next year. It’s called one gift a piece. Me and my fiancé do this because you don’t end up having an argument on who got the most stuff and who was more thoughtful and we put a $150 price limit on it and you can’t spend less then $40. 
We are welcoming a baby 5 months before next Christmas and we will be sticking to it again next year because our child’s gifts are priority

My husband and I don’t buy each other gifts during the holidays cause we can just buy ourselves whatever we want during the year. Plus it also means our son gets spoiled more.  That being said set a gift limit if that’s what you want, communicating is the key to no disappointments.

I don’t think you’re ungrateful for wanting a Christmas present. But if you get him things, get them because you want to get them for him and want him to have them. Not based off the money you’d wish he spend on yours also.
