How long can semen stay in the vagina?

After my SO and I BD, semen doesn’t come straight out when I stand up. Does that mean he didn’t ejaculate very much or is it staying up there?

You can get right up if you want. semen comes out sperm swims up. But at least 10 mins if you want to be cautious

Semen is 98% seminal fluid, 2% sperm. The fluid carries the sperm but that’s it. It doesn’t need to stay inside of you because that’s what your cervical mucus is for. The seminal fluid is supposed to leak out. Your vagina is not a sponge. The sperm that can swim quickly are already swimming through your cervix (if it’s open) seconds after your partner ejaculates. When the fluid comes out of you that is just the base fluid mixed with any dead/deformed sperm that weren’t going to make it anyway.

It always comes out at different times..i guess it all depends on how long i stay laying down.
