Anyone cut off family after marriage?

Hi just wanted to know if anyone has cut off immediate/extended family. 
In general, but specifically after they got married? 
I despise most my extended family. Especially because of the way they treated my parents. I don’t want anything to do with them when I get married and especially when I have kids. Why after marriage some of you may ask? Because In my culture the women don’t move out before marriage. Most of the time they only move out when they get married it’s ‘freedom’ as some may say 
I come from a very conservative religious family so moving out for me (even tho I make money) is not an option 
I’d just like to know some of yall experiences

I did.. I didn't invite any of my extended family to our wedding .. They messaged me and called my mom so upset when they found out I got married and they weren't invited.. I haven't heard from them since 💁😌 I decided to cut them off for the same reason, they were really mean to my mom and I got tired of them disrespecting her.

I cut off my dads entire side. They treated me like shit and threw a huge fit AT MY WEDDING. I was done.

👋 me! I don't talk to really any one in my family except my mom. It's nothing but drama most the time so I will talk to them if I see them but I don't socialize with them like that . SoOO hasn't affected me or kids 🤷🏼‍♀️ your either in or out fairly simple in my opinion

My husband did. He never liked his family, but only after he got married and had kids did he cut ties (hasn’t spoke. To his father in over 3 years and it was a couple years before that when he talked to him). He doesn’t understand how they could be so selfish and chose to protect his own children from his toxic parents.

My husband cut off his family the night of our wedding. They were told to not come, since they all threw a fit that we wouldn’t let his moms boyfriend come. (Abused him heavily as a child) 
They showed up anyways without the boyfriend. Her other kids ( half siblings) sat there and ridiculed him after the ceremony. All under the age of 12.

I’m one of them people that give people to many chances to show me they’ve changed, want to be in my life, and stuff like that. Well my moms parents threw her out when she was 16 because they didn’t like my dad. Me and my mom wanted to “get back” with her side to see if they wanted to be around. Mind you I have never spoken to these people but maybe 10 times in my life I’m 24.5 years old. Well I got married at 19 and wanted them to come. We even spent thanksgiving and Christmas maybe 2/3 times with them but my mom completely cut them off two years ago because they would go on vacation with my moms sisters, there husbands, there kids plus my moms dad and mom. They wouldn’t even talk to any of us during the year only 2 times a year for thanksgiving and Christmas. I told my mom good fucking ridens... cut them off. They don’t want to talk to us then fuck em. They don’t ask about me, my husband, my brother, his kids, my mom or any of us. We’re the “black sheep”. They just suck the life right out of you. I’m glad I don’t speak to them anymore.
