Father of our 2 babies (2.5yr&10mo) goes to a birthday party alone!!! While the babies & I are sick at home?? He called me a bitch for saying he shouldn’t go... I can barely function with a nasty cold the babies are so congested slight fever fussy been up since 1am the little one was gasping for air...

Sounds like the way he went about it was dickish, but if my husband wanted to go and I didn't care to be around people (sick or not), I'd let him go solo. Not a big deal. You being so sick with a sick baby too though, yea, he probably should have offered to stay home and help. No party is that important.

Not normal, and downright shitty. Is this normal for him? Because if he wants to be single you should let him be single.  You’re already doing everything on your own from the sound of it. 
Oh, and just wait until you separate and the kids are all excited to go visit dad and he cancels because he’s sick. Like, he can’t possibly watch kids while he’s sick. But I guess you are supposed to while he runs off to go have fun with coworkers. Nope nope nope.

I don't know how to answer if it's normal or not.
But it's a douche move for sure. My husband would never dream of leaving myself and the girls home sick. Unless it's for work, of course.

I would say its odd. If he went really quick to make his appearance then went home to help care for you and the children, I could understand that. But calling you a bitch was unnecessary and not okay.
