1 year old wont let me suction nose

I need help. My son wont let me suck his snot up. I literally have to wrap him in a blanket like a cocoon lol but then he just screams and fights it and now wiggles his body out. I've even tried using the nose Frida and he wont let me do that either! He has a terrible cold and I know getting the gunk out will help him so much. Especially since he cant breathe. What can I do to help 😫 I already have a humidifier going and sat in the bathroom with a hot shower running. But I cant do that all day.
