Glucose test reaction?

I went and did my glucose test about 2 hours ago and I am so sick. I keep puking and have a killer headache and I'm dizzy. Is this a normal reaction?

I had my glucose test yesterday. I got a headache about 2 hours after drinking the stuff. Tmi I ended up with diarrhea for the rest of the evening. It seems to have cleared up and I haven't heard from the doctor. They said no news is good news. I looked up some statistics and the page I found said 9% of patients got a headache after and 11% got diarrhea. I can try to find the page again and find your symptoms.

I've seen people pass out after doing their 1 hour and blood draw. And others get dizzy, hot flashes and/or vomit. So yes its normal. Make sure to hydrate, hydrate and hydrate (with water). Stay cool with a cold washcloth on forehead or back of neck and lie down. When u can, eat something with protein.  Always contact your doctor's office if it worsens.

Was it the 1 hr? I'v takin it a total of three times and never had any problems other then being hungry after lol. If you throw up during the hr wait it's considered a fail. 😕

Pretty normal. I felt like that and I didn't plan ahead and take the day off of work :-/

Try to get some protein in your system. I found that helped me. I stuck with pretzels dipped in peanut butter.
