Possible to find in-home care while I work at home FT?

J

I hate labels, and I’m not sure where best to post this. I work from my home office 8a-5p (with flexible 1-hr lunch break) for a health plan. I’m expecting my first in late June. I’m physically at home during the work day, but obviously prioritizing the phone calls, documentation, etc. my job requires. Is anyone else in a similar situation? Wondering if I’ll be able to find an affordable sitter/nanny to come to my home to care for baby, while also allowing me to breastfeed throughout the day. Maybe there are creative daycare options that I’m not thinking of? When baby arrives I will get 6 weeks off work, 5 of which will be paid at 100%. I can take additional weeks off unpaid if necessary. Technically I’m not eligible for FMLA, so it may be risky (they could try to replace me) beyond 6 weeks without medical cause. I’d love to connect with any other moms or moms-to-be in similar situations. My husband is a teacher gone from 6 to 3:30-4:30 during the school year. Ideally I could find in-home help 9-12 + 1-4 or something like that, but I don’t know if that dream scenario can be found! My boss is open to a flex shift such as 10-7, which would help decrease our work schedule overlap. Lots to think about.
