I’ve always wondered this. Not even a week after my boyfriend and I broke up he had a rebound girl. Like a way younger one and I’m 23, he’s 27. So it was strange.
But he texted me Merry Christmas and said a bunch of weird things like trying to tell me he loved me but not those words but now he’s back to being cold.

Well first off guys and girls both go for a rebound because they are looking th o replace something that was there. Second,  if he didn't actually say he loves you and wants you back, he could have just been being polite on the holidays. I'd honestly just move on, no point waiting for someone who may not even be interested
