Cheated on?

Question

Have any of you ever cheated on your current or past partner?
I’m trying to understand why people do it 😐 and it’s a serious question. 
Was it their fault? Was I not good enough? Why did you do it if you loved them or did you not love them..😔

No and I think cheating is a terrible thing to do, if you no longer want to be with someone just break up...? It’s never the partners fault

My husband was planning on cheating, but I caught him before he did anything. I am really glad I did. It was a hard, complicated talk we ended up having after I found those messages. He never denied it, thankfully. It was weird how he owned up to it all, and told me exactly how it happened and it all added up according to the messages. It was both of our faults, in the end. His, for falling so easily in the hands of another woman (who was older, married, with 3 kids btw) and mine for being so negligent and not giving him the attention he needed and that I knew he needed. Our communication back then SUCKED, too, so that added to it.
 It was hard, girl. Accepting that and giving myself the strength to forgive him. But we worked on it together. I was so distrusting for months, I know that hurt him, but he knew he caused it so all he could do was prove to me he wasn't going to let it happen again. This happened nov of 2017. We are so much happier, now. We communicate better and let eachother know when we aren't feeling loved or appreciated (which is rarely, since we shower each other with kisses and love now.) We have completely moved on past the whole thing. Sometimes he looks at me, and hugs me tightly and kisses me and thanks me for not giving up on him. And i'm glad I didn't give up on him, either. 
Some people are worth giving an opportunity to, if they are sincerely sorry and you know that they are and that you wish they'd give you an opportunity if you were in their place.
Other people do not deserve that love. The actual cheaters. The ones who cheat time and time again, or who lie, or who continue to deny it even after you have proof of it. The ones who blame it on you. Those are toxic people that you do not forgive.

Some people cheat because they don't love their partner, some do because they're more attracted to other persons, some do because they're drunk and others do because they're scared. It's wrong to cheat on your partner, everyone knows. But if you are the person who is cheated on, think wisely. You know the other person best. 
Personally, I wouldn't take a cheater back but if I loved him/her very much I would try to give him/her a second chance if I know they are truly sorry, and regret cheating on me. 
You yourself know what's best for you and if you still are confused and you don't know, imagine it was your best friend telling you this was her problem. What advice would you give her?

I've never cheated. I consider that one of the worse things you can do to someone. I was cheated on by a past boyfriend and the way it made me feel, I never wanted to make someone feel that way! My husband and I decided before we got married that if either of us felt like cheating, we would tell the other and go ahead and end the marriage.

In the past I have. Of course it wasn't their fault, I make and am responsible for MY OWN choices as is anyone else who cheats. Cheating is ALWAYS the cheaters fault and anyone who says otherwise is in denial.
Most of the why just has to do with lacking self respect and lacking respect for my partners at the time. Generally there were things I didn't like about the relationship and when trying to work on it didn't yeild fast enough results sometimes I would find myself drawn to cheat. Ultimately it was because of an unhealthy relationship with myself. I wanted certain things from a man and when the guy I was with didn't deliver, instead of leaving like an adult, I would cheat.
Eventually I got sick of being this person. I got single and stayed single while I worked on my relationship with myself, then I set standards for what I wanted from a partner/relationship and didn't compromise on them. If a dude couldn't give me what I needed, He got left behind. I found it pointless to force relationships with people I obviously wasn't compatible with. Eventually I found my partner. He meets and exceeds my expectations and needs on a daily basis. We have been together 8 years and I haven't even had the urge to cheat on him.
Not sure any of the personal details really help, but bottom line, cheaters cheat because of a lack of respect for themselves AND a lack of respect for their partners. That's the basis of "Why"..
