Poor Diabetes Control

Hi ladies.

Me and my partner are not looking to try for a baby until next year at the earliest. As a type 1 diabetic, my blood sugars are in poor condition, and I know I have to have perfect blood sugars for at least 6 months before TTC.

I’m trying so hard to get them in line, but I’m really struggling, and I’m getting myself more and more upset and disheartened that I might not be able to get them under control, or conceive because of this.

I’m to speak with my diabetes team, but wondered if there’s any type 1 diabetics who are struggling with their sugars prior to TTC, and if you’ve found any ways to cope or manage?
