Labor signs?

I'm currently 36 weeks and have been having strong painful bh contractions all day today...I also have been having sharp pains in my lower abdomen near my cervix, I have drank 6 water bottles all day so I'm not dehydrated. Is this a sign of labor?? I have also been going to the bathroom like every 10 minutes. I have an appointment on Thursday but just figured I would ask everyone!
