Is anyone breastfeeding more than one?

I'd like to have my children close in age and curious how others manage more than one child for breastfeeding? How many kids? 2-3-4? Just curious on that part. Has anyone ever breastfed two children at most? Is that normal to do for twins? Curious that's all

My mom nursed me straight in through when my brother was born (I was two at the time). Some babies don't like how the milk changes at the end of pregnancy so they might quit then (I didn't), and sometimes mom finds it really uncomfortable. But after my brother was born, my mom just kept nursing the two of us. She made us switch boobs each time she fed us, and she didn't always feed us at the same time, but she didn't really have trouble feeding two at a time. Lots of mammals feed multiple babies. Random kangaroo fact - kangaroos nipples can make newborn milk in one nipple and toddler milk in the other so they can better feed their two different ages babies at once.

My first two are 17 months apart. I would give the pumped milk to my oldest since I quit breastfeeding early on with him. I am due in April and my daughter is still nursing now. I will say it is hard to nurse while pregnant. My nipples kill!

My daughter will be 2 in October and still nurses regularly. Heavy in the morning and than sporadically throughout the day. I've tried weaning her but to no avail. Her little bro or sis will be born in February and I'm pretty sure she won't be weaned by then either. The baby will be my #1 priority when it comes to breastfeeding as my toddler eats all day long and uses it mostly it seems as a comfort "blanket".

I've only heard of it with twins but I honestly never thought about it because I couldn't imagine having children close enough in age that the eldest would still be breastfeeding when the youngest was born. But I am sure it happens. I would imagine it would be more of a pumping situation for the oldest.
