Dumb question time

How do you go about finding a hairstylist? I recently moved to a new place and I’ve been having a hard time finding the right person. Also, equally important, how do you find out how much they charge? Just call and ask? I realize this probably sounds idiotic but I get bad anxiety about this sorta shit, especially asking about prices. It’s the reason I haven’t gotten tattooed in forever too 😑
