Mastitis/Clogged duct

FTM with a 2 week old. breastfeeding is going great for the most part except my right breast has mastitis. I'm trying all the tips my dr gave me (warm compress, massage, hot showers ect.) For the most part they seem to be helping but its still very uncomfortable.

The worst part is the nipple pain when he latches. I know it's not a bad latch because the other breast does just fine and it mostly subsides after the initial latch. Can it be because of the clogged duct hes sucking harder? It's to the point where it looks like theres a hole in my nipple 😫 any advice would be appreciated. (Currently using lanolin and expressed milk)
