When to get your stuff back after a break up.

My boyfriend broke up with me this morning and I’d rather just get my stuff back ASAP so it’s over with. Do I wait a few days to ask for just suck yo the fact that I don’t need my stuff back

Just text him like ‘hey I’m gonna stop by this evening to grab the rest of my things okay?’ Or ‘hey can you box up my things so I can stop by and pick them up later?’ 
Or something like that. Just let him know you want your things back. A break up doesn’t have to be hostile, all you want is your things and to go on your way, I don’t see why he’d have an issue with that

I would just show up over there to get your stuff. It's your stuff. He can't keep it from you.  If it is a lot of valuable stuff you can even get an officer to come along and monitor the situation. I have had to have that before when I had threatening roommates.

Better to get it back than for him to give it away or burn it. I lost a whole bedding set in a break up. That I paid for. So yeah night as well just get it ASAP.

Doesnt sound like its going to go smoothly if you have already texted him 3x without response. Depending on the items, i would probably just let it go if they were small items. No point im fight over the little things after a breakup

Wait for his response, dont text him again. If he has a roommate or someone that can go get your stuff for you, try reaching out to them

It’s ur stuff get it back ASAP. He might do what my ex did and leave it outside in a bin for the animals to get to. Luckily I’m not a materialistic person and I drove by and saw it and just collected the stuff I cherished everything else I threw on his sidewalk and steps and drove off
