When to tell immediate family?

Hi all! I got my BFP today (on 3 tests! Weeee!) and the only person who knows so far is my husband. I am seeing my mom and sisters at a late holiday get together next Saturday and I am planning on surprising them with mugs and a onesie announcing my pregnancy. This will be my mom's first grandchild and I am very close with my mom and sisters so I do not want to wait until the first ultrasound to share the good news. When did all of you reveal your pregnancy to just immediate family? Is 5 weeks too early? I'm hoping everyone says no, because I don't think I could see them and not tell them! So excited!!

Awww I told my mum as soon got positive test i took clearblue one that says pregnant so she could see it loool I drove down straight away I couldn’t hold it Looool , so yea tell your mum and your sister it’s such blessing, however with rest my family I waited till I was 13 weeks because I had loss before this pregnancy and told rest family I think too soon couldn’t deal with all that again but my mum I would tell every-time first regardless lol 🥰😊

With our first (together) our other kids knew right away at 4 weeks. Friends from work knew and because my oldest was telling the whole world, we posted it on social media.

Then at 10 weeks I had to take meds to induce a miscarriage. 😢 
So, here I am months later....

Telling nobody, not even my spouse, until next week when I have an ultrasound.

Tell your family whenever you want! We told our families with both pregnancies right away. Just the immediate family. We announced to the rest of the family & friends around 16 weeks with both. I wouldn’t have had it any other way though I was very happy to let our families know right away :)

I told my family as soon as I got the positive test! We were at my grandmas birthday party and I took the test in the bathroom. Came out crying tears of joy because we had been trying for 3 years. I was only 4w2d. 😊

I announced to everyone after i went to the doctor to get it confirmed (i was 4 weeks but i had very VERY faint lines) it was confirmed so i told my parents and called my aunt brother and grandma then just did a cute status on fb.. nothing too special but i did it very early! Whenever your comfortable is when you should do it.

I didn’t tell my mom I was pregnant before I had my first miscarriage. It was really hard for her. My second pregnancy I told her early. Then I lost the baby. Still really hard. 
If that’s what you are worried about, don’t. Just do what makes you happy and don’t worry about the “what if’s.” Congratulations, btw! ☺️

This is my first pregnancy and we didn't tell anyone outside of our two closest friends until 12 weeks. I was worried about it not sticking and it would have been a lot harder on me having people ask me or having to tell all of the immediate family if something happened. (Husband has 4 siblings +parents, I have 3 + parents). It's up to you what you feel comfortable with. I'm a planner and think of most scenarios before I do things.
