Would you be disappointed too?
Happy New Year, fellow Nurturers
I am 11 weeks pregnant with first baby, and my partner and I decided to tell our closest friends our news via a personalised picture message - containing photos of the grandparents happy and excited reactions and our mummy/daddy to be badges etc.
We sent a personalised picture message to a select number of close friends, addressing them as "auntie xyz" or "uncle xyz" etc. Everyone messaged or phoned to acknowledge our news and say congrats etc... except for one female friend. I thought initially she hadn't seen the message, but she has since been involved in a group message and has been addressing other participants in the group but not me. My partner and I are surprised she's been ignoring this massive news, especially as she knows how much I wanted to have children and that its been a difficult journey to get here. We have a group dinner in a few weeks, so far she has said nothing to me. We had spoken a few days before partner and I announced and all was friendly and normal.
Should I be offended by this? I get she may be busy but she is happy to congratulate another friend on buying a house. Feeling a bit disappointed to be honest as it feels a bit like a snub?
