How much should bridesmaid pay toward the bridal shower?

Just curious what everyone thinks! Planning a bridal shower and I'm surprised at the cost. I'm used to backyard, just bring a platter of cookies type shower lol

I would think paying for their own attire/gifts/form of travel and stay would be enough, but that will depend on the shower. And I had a backyard shower that my sister through together for like less than $200 so... I'm not really the best judge of it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Towards shower or a gift? I put 50-100 cuz that’s what guests should pay, closer to 50 for girls already spending money on our day. MOH and families typically pay for shower, not maids
