Hubby/Advice/Gender
Posting anon because I don’t want to catch crap from this post lol.
My husband and I already have a son who is 1.5 years old. He was ecstatic to have a baby boy.
I am currently pregnant and we are finding out the gender in about 2 weeks.
My husband keeps making comments about not being as excited if this one is a girl. He says he knows he will love her when she is here, but having a girl literally scares the hell out of him. He says he thinks about how his sister would sneak out as a teen or how teen boys are with teen girls and he feels like he’d “always be on edge” and having boys is the only way he will feel relaxed for the rest of his life. Lol.
So.. IF we have a girl, how can I get him excited before she’s here?! I know some men just need to meet the baby to feel the attachment. He wasn’t super attached to our son before he was born but now he’s the best dad ever with him. And like I said, he knows healthy is most important. He’s just worried lol.
Any words of encouragement that I can tell him? Have you been in this position?
