When to announce

Question

I know the standard rule for announcing a pregnancy is after the first trimester for viability reasons. But am I crazy to want to tell at only 4weeks & 3 days? Seriously asking for honest answers. Please be kind.

My mom and sis knew before I did. We're half the country apart. I found out earlier tonite I'm pregnant. Naturally I called my sis panicking. Then my mom. I've never been able to carry. Too many miscarriages to count. Everyone who knows me knows I try every time but lose it. I'm not with the father anymore; we broke up in Sept. I haven't told him yet cause I don't know how to. And I'm scared. We wanted so badly to have a baby for years but the toll of miscarriages won. Now what do I do??

We told immediate family right away, with that I mean both of our parents and brothers and sisters. Friends and the rest of the family we told around week 8 or 9, and social media announcement was at 10 weeks which is when we had our first ultrasound.

Tell when you're ready! I told immediate family right away each time and I had their support and love when I had 2 losses. I couldn't imagine not telling my close family members right away

My first two pregnancies ended in miscarriage. Announced right away and regretted it because then I had to announce the bad news. I’m now 32 weeks with my rainbow and this time I announced at 18 weeks.

With our first we told people immediately. Well after telling our parents. With our second we waited until our first appointment but a few weeks later we ended up miscarrying. It’s really whenever you’re comfortable and ready.
