Is it true toddlers can 'sense' pregnancy?

My toddler became very clingy suddenly and only wants me to carry her. She will cry till i carry her. People say maybe she's acting that way because I might be carrying a baby.AF is due anytime now. Think its going to show up as I kept having period cramps on and off. Anyone has similar experiences with regards to toddlers being extra clingy and ended up really pregnant?
