I thought for sure he liked me now I’m not so sure

So I posted before asking if you guys thought he liked me. You all said yes. He’s always trying to talk to me we FaceTimed yesterday. He’s always complementing me but today I try to get a conversation going and he just leaves me on read like what the hell we where just fine last night. Even this morning he messaged me. I don’t want to ask him what’s up because where not in a relationship he doesn’t have to text me.
