Staring during sex

What does it mean if you’re having sex with a friends with benefits and you look up mid sex and they are staring at you? Like into your soul type staring like deep in your eyes?

Also: I’ve caught him staring when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and I’m walking back to the bed to lay back down. When I look up he is looking at me then turns his head really fast as if I didn’t just catch him🤦🏽‍♀️

Or

He’ll move around when we’re sleep and I’ll roll over so we’re not cuddling anymore and when I turn back around I catch him again and he would look away as if I didn’t catch him!!
