Longest you stayed at a job you hated?

What’s the longest you’ve stayed at a job you couldn’t stand? I’d also like to know why you stayed and why you quit, if you’d like to comment. Thanks!

2 years. Because I needed the money and couldn’t find another job. When I was offered another job I took it and it only took a few hours to decide.

I was at my last job for a year and 4 months. I hated it because it was one of those sales based jobs. If you didn’t make your quota on the regular, they’d terminate you. A lot of times there wouldn’t be any customers and they stayed nagging us to call people over the phone. I would’ve left way earlier but the only thing that kept me there was because the pay was good and we got paid weekly.

2 years and I’m still there. I want to leave but they pay almost 20 dollars and the job market by me is not great.

I stayed 2 months and then got laid off. I probably would have stayed a year for my resume’s sake. I felt like I never knew what to do when I came in, and the boss was always in a different office, and hard to get a hold of. It was stressful too.

I worked for one company from the beginning of May 2018 through end of November 2018. It was AWFUL. They weren’t paying me all the money they owed me, they were committing insurance fraud, i was expected to do things that were not part of my job description and were not ethical. I’m very glad I got out. I had to threaten to report them in order to get the last of the money they owed me
