I went into the hospital at 5pm on 1/12/19 (my due date) to be induced, a couple different girls came in the hospital at the same time as i did in labor so they became priority, i didn’t get my room till 8:30pm. They started cervidil at 10pm i was at 2cm, they told me the medicine would stay in for 12 hours and then they would take it out and start pitocin. I tried to get some rest but couldn’t sleep so i tossed and turned, at about 2:00am i started getting contractions/ strong cramping. They started getting strong and closer together, i called my nurse and she checked me and i was at 4cm. They took he medicine out because at this time i was in active labor and didn’t need it anymore. When i got to 4cm they gave me my epidural and i just relaxed and let my body do what it needed to do. By 6:00am i was at a 8cm and my water broke, they let my body labor the baby down a little on its own and my son was born at 8:29am.
