Do you celebrate the date you got engaged?

Our engagement date is different than our wedding date. I mentioned to my husband that it’s coming up that maybe we’d go to dinner or something. He thought it was silly to “celebrate” our engagement date. What do you think?

It honestly wouldn't cross my mind to celebrate it, but then again I probably wouldn't remember the day if we hadn't got married the very next day
