Best Friend is being salty 🙄

ABS19

My best friend and I have been best friends for 17 years. I’ve been married for 4 years and have three kids, whiles she’s recently single and no kids. She keeps comparing her life to mine, and it makes her upset, but I reassure her, “you’ll get there.” Anyway, she was in a relationship with this guy and they were looking at buying a house over a year ago. She’d show me houses, etc., and I’d get excited with her and was supper supportive. They ended up with an apartment but broke up not too long ago (crisis adverted). Well, my husband and I are looking to buy a house in July and as I’m showing her different ones and talking to her about it all, she’s really short with me. I can tell she’s jealous or something, but I don’t want to hide my excitement just because they didn’t get a house a year ago. 🤷‍♀️ How do I bring this up? It’s hurting my feelings that she’s being like this, when I was always excited/supportive of her.

Update: yes, we are very open at communicating and have tough conversations, but I almost feel wrong for being excited around her, since her situation didn’t work out.
