How good was your sex education in school?

Mine was awful. I was taught that if you have sex before marriage, you’re going to hell. And the only way you can get AIDs and other STDs is if you’re gay or have premarital sex. I wasn’t taught anything about condoms or any kind of birth control or anything. Safe sex was not an option, only staying abstinent. So I learned most of my stuff on Reddit and stuff like that. How was yours?

The sex ed in my middle and high school was decent enough (no extreme pictures or videos), but it focused more on the physiological aspects of sex than anything else. 
College, however, was a different story. Every Halloween, the Campus Activities Board hosted "Sex Bingo." We were given a blank bingo form that had dozens of sexual words underneath, like "anal" and "semen." After we filled in the form, the game proceeded like any other bingo game, and the prizes included things like a sexy coupon book--as in, "This coupon is good for one makeout session." (I never won, so I don't remember what the other coupons said.) What's more, condoms were available at every table, and nobody was ever made to feel bad about their sexuality.
The point of Sex Bingo was to inform and educate us about all the aspects of sex, and it was always standing-room-only by the end. For me, it was a springboard for exploration. After the first time I attended, I went to Wikipedia and looked up the terms I wasn't familiar with. From Wikipedia, I found my way to Thought Catalog and then Reddit.

Here in Finland we have very good sex education. We go through all kinds of STDs and how to avoid & take care of them.
We also had "condom lesson" where we put a condom on a banana to demonstrate how to use them (it was super embrassing thou!) 
And of course human anatomy and period information and and...many things!

We didn’t have it at all. In fifth grade we had a day where all the boys went to the gym and the girls were told that their bodies are changing, and they might get sad, and they’re growing up- but didn’t actually say anything about menstruation. I thought I was dying when my period started. 
We learned about plant sex instead of human sex education 🙄

Mine was literally a video of a girl giving birth, and seeing the head crown and come out... didn’t stop me tho cause here I am with an almost 1 year old 😂😂

They gave us a piece of paper and a pencil and said write 2 things you want in a partner. Then we read them aloud. And the teacher was just like ,”ok now don’t have sex”. AND THAT WAS ITTTTTTT

I just was sitting there like wtf where are my condoms and std pics. This was public school so I expected more!!!

I went to catholic school so we didn’t get much sex education... But I had decent parents that took the time to educate me themselves and provided me with resources.
