18 weeks and just diagnosis with narcolepsy

Lynsey

This diagnosis makes so much sense. Me and my boyfriend would get into so many arguments because he thought I would always ignore him. I would zone out. My eyes opened. My whole face would change. I was basically sleep and we didn’t realize it. A lot of stuff that I have been experiencing are all related to this diagnosis. Extreme exhaustion. Zone outs. Poor memory. Very poor memory. Full conversations in my sleep. Waking up with hallucinations normally of bugs or reptiles in our bed. I’m relieved that we know why now but worried about when baby comes. It’s treated with medications but I wont be able to start until after delivery. I’m unsure if I can even take them while breastfeeding, I’ll find out at my next OB appointment. I’ve often zoned out while driving so now we will be making major changes from now on to insure my safety and the safety of baby. A major plus is both my mom and his mom are retired and have already committed to helping out as much as necessary.
