False positive tests??

Question

Has anyone gotten a false positive pregnancy test? I keep getting a positive home test, go to my dr’s, and urine and blood tests are negative. I didn’t think a false positive was possible, yet its happened to me several times and keeps happening. It’s driving me crazy.

False positives are VERY rare. A lot of the time a chemical pregnancy is what causes a “false positive”. Your HCG levels reach a detectable amount because implantation occurred or was attempted, but failed shortly afterwards. So, technically it’s not false because HCG was detected. 
Are you taking digital HPT’s? If not, you could very well be seeing indents on the test you’re taking, which is apparently a big issue with many different brands of tests currently. Protein or blood in the urine may rarely cause a false positive..Or even certain medications. 
Personally, I have never had a false positive.
