Stopped BC and my periods changed

I stopped my birth control pill about 2 months ago and I noticed on my current period that the blood is thicker and almost paste like when I touch it. When I’m the bath I noticed that my period came out in flake like batches that didn’t dissolve over time like it usually does. They just floated around me. Is it normal for the lining to change after stopping birth control? I still use condoms for sex with my husband and I don’t think I’m pregnant!
