Is my son teething?

Question

He's been biting on his bottle when he eats and keeping his fingers in his mouth lately. He's also starting to get cranky and fight his naps.

This is his bottom gums.
He's 6 months old. But he was premature so his age is adjusted by 3 months. Wouldn't it be too early for him since he wasn't technically due until October?
I understand these could probably just be things he's doing because he's getting older too.. quite a few people said it looks like he is. But idk what to look for..

They all kind of play with their mouths but it’s not necessarily correlated to teething (though he could be). 
His gums don’t have that really inflamed look of when a tooth is about to pop, and I don’t see any really visible, so my guess is you have a while.

He could be starting to teethe, as the teeth take a while to come to the surface, but it took my daughter from 4-10 months of chewing and acting like she was teething before an actual tooth popped out.

My girl started teething for those bottoms teeth at three months! She didn’t get anything in until 6 months but it’s likely that’s what is going on with your baby! They have teething rings and you can give them wet washcloths to chew on or if you’re doing baby food now, you can freeze It in little drops on wax paper and give that to them. My baby loved that!

He could be! Do you feel any teeth buds? My son didn't get his first tooth until after he turned 1, but my nephew had 2 teeth by 4 months. If he seems to be irritated and chewing on his hands, toys etc I'd say he's teething. We used a frozen washcloth as a soother which worked wonders!
